Course Overview:
God wants to be radically involved in all aspects of our culture. That includes business. In this course, you will be encouraged with teachings on the biblical foundations and applications of business. In addition, you will receive tools for how to apply your faith to your business, as well as how to maximize value, purpose, profit, and growth.
In his book Garden City, John Mark Comer writes, “Our job is to make the invisible God visible — to mirror and mimic what he is like to the world. We can glorify God by doing our work in such a way that we make the invisible God visible by what we do and how we do it.” As Christians and image-bearers of the Living God we have the ability to influence culture for the Kingdom of Heaven. One of the ways we can do that is through the creative act of business.
Course Objectives: When you complete this course, you should be able to do the following:
- Think theologically about business
- Have an understanding of how you can model your business or workday to reflect biblical values
- Understand how to maximize value at each level of entrepreneurship
- Describe the Service Profit Chain
